Episentum presents at the NovAlix conference Biophysics in Drug Discovery, Strasbourg, France, 6-9 June 2017

Episentum will present a poster on Label-Enhanced SPR at the NovAlix conference Biophysics in Drug Discovery, Strasbourg, France, 6-9 June 2017. We will display the enhanced sensitivity in small molecule analysis, as well as the enhanced specificity and the dual-colour capabilities in protein analysis.

We’re looking forward to meeting with lots of SPR scientists and other biophysicists, including old and new customers. For any information on LE-SPR prior to the meeting, or to book a one-to-one meeting, please contact us at info@episentum.com.

New LE-SPR publication

Label-Enhanced SPR (LE-SPR) can be used to clearly confirm binding site specificity. Brandon Garcia and Brian Geisbrecht at Kansas State University and their co-workers have used LE-SPR in a very elegant manner to study small-molecule inhibitors of the complement system using a standard Biacore™ T200 instrument. Taking advantage of the greatly simplified interpretation of LE-SPR data, binding site specificity was unambiguously confirmed in a way that would have been hard to achieve with conventional SPR.

The full study is recently published in The Journal of Immunology.

Meet Episentec in Gent, Belgium, 15-16 June 2015 at “Next-Generation Antibodies and Protein Analysis: Tools & Technologies”

Take the opportunity to meet with Episentec at the “Next-Generation Antibodies and Protein Analysis: Tools & Technologies” conference in Gent, Belgium, 15-16 June 2015. We will present a poster showing how Label-Enhanced SPR improves the detectability and widens the dynamic range in protein and antibody analysis using Biacore™ instruments.

We will also spend 17 June in the Gent area, so if you’re interested in Label-Enhanced SPR and if you’re site is not too far from Gent, please contact us and we’ll arrange a meeting!

Please contact us at sales@episentum.com for any enquiries.

New Application Note 023 on antibody analysis

Label-Enhanced SPR is already a well-established tool that improves the detectability of small molecules in SPR analysis 100-fold. Our new Application Note 23 shows how also the detectability of antibodies can be improved 100-fold. The key feature here is not the enhanced sensitivity but the enhanced specificity, or in other words, the elimination of signal contributions from non-specific binding of undefined sample substances.

Please check out our Application Notes page for more info or order the new document directly from sales@episentum.com.

New Biacore Application Note

Our new Application Note AN017 shows how the Dye-Label Enhanced SPR technology of Episentec greatly improves biomolecular interaction analysis on Biacore™ 2000, giving exceptional sensitivity, excellent specificity, low drift, a negligible solvent effect, and a clean kinetic evaluation. See the Literature page for more info!
