Two new Application Notes

Application Note 019 describes competition-based screening and characterisation with label-enhanced SPR. Please note that in the competition format, the actual interaction between the analyte and the target is totally label-free while it’s only the readout that is label-enhanced.

Application Note 020 is a technology primer summarizing the basic aspects and applications of label-enhanced SPR.

Presenting B2 Dye Labels in Barcelona

We will participate in the Discovery Chemistry Congress in Barcelona, 18-19 February, and present a poster called “Competition-based screening and characterization with Label-Enhanced SPR”. The poster shows how the sensitivity of a Biacore™ instrument can be boosted 100-fold using our new B2 Series dye labels. Please stop by the poster for more information!

New Improved B2 Series of Dye Labels

We are launching the new, optically superior B2 series of dye labels for Biacore™ instruments. The new B2 series dyes give a further doubling of the sensitivity as compared to our old B1 series.

New Marketing & Sales Manager

We are proud to present Linnéa Babol, our new Marketing & Sales Manager. Linnéa holds a PhD from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences with a dissertation on the application of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) methods within food science. Linnéa’s most present appointment was as Sales Application Specialist at GE Healthcare/Biacore. Episentec completes financing round

We are proud to announce the successful completion of a financing round with contributions from Almi Innovationsbron AB and a number of private investors, and also from the existing owners.

We will now step up the activities and change the focus of the operations. After two successful years of product development and application development together with selected pilot customers, the focus will now be on marketing and sales and on customer application support. In addition to our established product lines – Episentec reagents and EpiGrammer software – we will also be offering labelling & purification services and SPR method development services.

We are looking forward to many rewarding meetings with new – and old! – customers and the development of many new, exciting applications based on our proprietary Label-Enhanced SPR technology.
